We can't see your data. Here's exactly what we can see.

What we never see

Your SQL queries, your query results, your database credentials, and the data itself never leave your machine and are never transmitted to us. When you run a query in DataIncisive, it goes directly from your device to your own databases, warehouses, or files — not through any server we operate. Account, billing, and licensing

• Account information. The email address you sign up with, used to verify your subscription and send you account-related emails (e.g. license confirmations, this policy's changes).
• Billing information. Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not receive or store your full card number — Stripe handles that directly and shares with us only what's needed to manage your subscription (e.g. plan, renewal date, last four digits of your card for support purposes).
• License verification. The desktop app periodically checks in with our licensing server to confirm your subscription tier is active. This check-in does not include your queries, data, or credentials.
• Basic product usage. We do not currently run analytics or tracking scripts on this website. If that changes, we'll update this page first.

Control Plane heartbeat and audit logging

If you're on Enterprise and run a self-hosted Control Plane (for SSO, row-level security, or centralized credential management), it runs entirely on your own infrastructure, not ours. It sends us one lightweight, anonymous heartbeat a day — install ID, organization name, and active user count, nothing else. This is non-blocking: login and queries keep working even if the heartbeat fails to reach us.

Separately, if your organization turns on audit logging, the full text of each query is sent to your own self-hosted Control Plane — never to us — so your team has a queryable record of who ran what. We have no access to that log.

Who we share information with

We use a small number of service providers to run the business side of DataIncisive, each bound to use your information only to provide their service to us:

• Stripe — payment processing and subscription billing.
• Our email provider — transactional emails (receipts, license confirmations, support replies).

We do not sell your information to anyone, for any purpose.

Access, correction, and deletion

You can ask us to see, correct, or delete the account and billing information we hold about you at any time by emailing us — see below. Because your queries and data were never sent to us in the first place, there's nothing for us to delete on that front; deleting local data is entirely in your control from within the app itself.

Children, changes, and location

DataIncisive is a developer tool not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16. Our billing and licensing infrastructure may process data outside your country of residence (e.g. via Stripe's own global infrastructure). We'll post any material changes to this policy on this page and update the date above.
